DIY deck repair before summer guests arrive

Got some loose boards and a couple nails poking up. Figured I'd replace the damaged boards and re-stain the whole thing. Pain in the butt but it'll look brand new. Anyone else do deck work? Any tips on stain selection? First time doing this myself.
