DIY kitchen remodel disaster
Decided to retile the kitchen backsplash myself to save money. Took down the old tiles no problem. Prepped the wall. Laid out the new subway tile. Looked great for about 2 days until some started falling off. Turns out I didn't use the right mortar or something. Had to call a professional to fix it. Cost me more than if I'd just hired someone from the start. Sometimes you gotta learn the hard way I guess.
Oh man, backsplash projects can get messy quick. The good news is you learned something and that kitchen's still standing. What's the game plan now?
