DIY Mudroom Organization - Game Changer

Our entryway was a disaster zone, shoes and jackets everywhere, nobody could find anything. Built some cubbies with hooks and labeled everything. Took a Saturday afternoon with my 8 year old who helped paint and install the hooks. Kids actually put their stuff away now because they know where it goes and it's accessible for them. Sounds dumb but I've saved probably 20 minutes a day on everyone looking for shoes before leaving. Total cost was maybe 150 bucks. Wife hugged me which basically never happens.

This is the kind of dad win that people don't talk about enough. Organized mudroom means less chaos in the mornings, which means less yelling. Honestly might be my favorite kind of project.

YES. We did something similar and it was a game changer for us too. Now everything has a spot and the kids actually use it because they can reach the hooks and find their own stuff. How much space did you end up freeing up?

We did the same thing and honestly it changed our mornings completely. No more 'where are my shoes?' chaos. Everyone just grabs what they need.
