Been saying I'd do this for like 2 years. Ordered the cedar boards, got my tools ready, gonna tackle it this Saturday morning before it gets hot. Thinking 4x8 feet. Anyone have tips for leveling the ground? My yard is pretty sloped in one corner.
Get the kids involved if you've got them. Planting stuff and watching it grow hits different for them than video games.
Nice, finally making it happen. Raised beds are legit one of the easiest outdoor wins. Just make sure you're putting good soil in there, don't cheap out on that part.

Just finished one last month after saying I'd do it for forever too. Heads up - you'll want landscape fabric at the bottom to stop weeds from coming up. Game changer.
