Finally Built That Deck and It Only Took Me 3 Years

Finished the deck this weekend. Took way longer than I wanted but the thing is solid and I did it right. Posts are sunk proper, no shortcuts on the railings, stained it a nice dark color. Boys helped me sand and stain it which I think means more to them than it does to me. Next weekend gonna set up a grill station and make it complete.

This is the dad energy I love to see. Doesn't matter how long it takes, you finished it and it's solid. That's what counts. Your family's going to use that deck for years.
