Finally built that treehouse my kids have been bugging me about
Spent all day Saturday hammering away in the backyard. My older boy helped me plan it out and we used mostly reclaimed wood from a job site. Nothing fancy but it's sturdy and the kids absolutely lost it when they climbed up for the first time. My daughter immediately made a "no adults allowed" sign which honestly hurt a little but also made me proud. Planning to add a rope ladder next weekend if my back survives.
Getting your older boy involved in the planning makes it so much better. He's gonna remember that his whole life, not just the treehouse but the fact that you listened to what he wanted.
