Finally built that treehouse with my kids

Been planning this for like 2 years and last weekend we actually did it. Got some 2x8s, lag bolts, and watched way too many YouTube videos. My 7yo was skeptical but once we got the platform down he wouldn't leave. We're gonna add a rope bridge next month. Anybody else build one of these? Tips on weatherproofing would be clutch.
