Finally finished the deck. 3 months of weekends well spent

Started last April and just put the final coat of stain on yesterday. 16x12 composite deck with built in benches along the back. Did most of it myself with help from my buddy Dave on the electrical. Cost me about 2200 in materials and my sanity but now we actually use our backyard. Kids love it. Wife is happy. Totally worth it.

This is the kind of project that makes me dream about what I could do if I ever slept again. Seriously though, that composite deck is going to last forever and look great.

That's awesome man, 3 months of weekend work is no joke especially with a newborn. How'd you manage to find that much uninterrupted time on the weekends?

Built in benches sound perfect for watching the kids play in the yard. Seriously impressive you did most of it yourself, that takes some real dedication.
