Finally finished the treehouse, kids lost their minds
Spent like 8 weekends building this thing with my oldest. Started with just some 2x4s and a vague idea, looked up a bunch of YouTube videos. It's not fancy but it's solid and 12 feet up. Kids immediately claimed it as their fort and have been out there constantly. Even my wife who was skeptical is impressed. Took way longer than I thought it would and nearly dropped a board on my head once but honestly one of the best projects I've done. Way cheaper than I thought too, maybe 600 bucks all in. If anyone else is thinking about it just make sure your foundation is really solid and don't cheap out on hardware.
This is the kind of thing I want to do with my kids. How'd you handle the safety stuff? I keep worrying about railings and weight limits and all that.
