Finally got the garden beds in before summer
Wife wanted vegetables this year so I built 4 raised beds out of cedar, filled em with soil, and we planted tomatoes, peppers, and lettuce last weekend. Kids helped and now they actually want to come out and check on them every day. If nothing else, this is teaching them where food comes from. If we actually get tomatoes I'll consider it a huge win.
Cedar raised beds are the way to go. How deep did you go on those? I'm thinking about doing something similar but honestly my biggest hurdle is getting the kids to actually eat vegetables that aren't french fries. Did your wife have a plan for that part or are you guys still figuring it out?
