Took my 7 and 10 year olds camping without my wife for the first time. Set up the tent, made campfire food, taught them how to identify some constellations. My 7 year old got spooked at like midnight and wanted to sleep in the car but we made it work. When I woke up he was right next to me in the sleeping bag. Already planning the next trip, pretty sure I'm doing something right as a dad here.
Dude, nicely done. My oldest is 2 so we're still a ways off from camping adventures, but this is exactly the kind of stuff I'm excited to do with him someday.
