First camping trip with 3 young kids went better than expected

I was honestly dreading this but we took the boys camping last weekend for the first time. Got a big family tent, brought way too much food, and honestly? It was awesome. We hiked about 2 miles which the 5yo actually did without complaining. Campfire was a hit, s'mores were even bigger hit, and they slept like logs. My wife and I got to actually talk to each other like adults for once. Already planning the next trip. If you're thinking about trying it with young kids, just go for it.
