First camping trip with just me and my 7 year old
Took my boy camping solo last weekend for the first time. Just us, no mom, no siblings. Drove 45 minutes to a state park. We hiked 3 miles, caught a fish, made a fire and told ghost stories. He slept in my tent and talked the whole drive home about doing it again. Honestly one of my favorite days I've had in years. Reminded me why I wanted to be a dad in the first place. Definitely making this an annual thing. Any recommendations for kid friendly campgrounds in the Midwest?
This is exactly what I'm trying to make happen with my two. Just you and him out there is gonna build some serious memories. Respect for doing the full camping thing and not just glamping.
