First camping trip with the family - packing list?

Taking my wife and our two kids (6 and 8) camping next month for the first time. We're only doing one night at a local state park to keep it simple. What gear do I actually need vs what's just nice to have? I've got a decent tent and sleeping bags already. Should I invest in a camping stove or just use the fire pit? Any major things I'm forgetting?

Don't forget to pack some easy entertainment for downtime since the kids might get bored. We learned that lesson the hard way - a couple decks of cards saved us on our first camping trip.

One night is perfect for your first go at it. Bring way more snacks than you think you need and make sure you have a good headlamp - game changer when you're fumbling around at night.
