First camping trip with the family went sideways

Three kids, two tents, one broken tent pole and rain all night. Spent half the night dealing with water leaking in and kids wanting to go home. Honestly wanted to pack it up at 2am but we powered through. By morning the sun came out and we hiked to a waterfall and they forgot all about the rough night. Kids still talk about it and want to go again. Sometimes the worst trips make the best memories I guess.
