Been planning this for months. Renting a tent, getting all the gear, planning meals. We're only going 2 hours away for one night because I don't want to overdo it. Any last minute tips from you guys? I'm most nervous about my 4 year old sleeping in a tent but I think it'll be fine.
Two hours and one night is the perfect first trip. You're being smart about it instead of trying to do some epic wilderness adventure right away. My kids loved our first camping experience because it wasn't overwhelming.

Nice! My advice after doing this with my two is to bring way more snacks than you think you need and a backup plan for entertainment. Kids get bored fast in a tent. But honestly it's going to be amazing and they'll remember it forever.

This is awesome. First camping trip is a big milestone. Keep it simple for your first time out though, don't try to do anything too fancy. Just focus on the experience and having fun together.
