First camping trip with the kids this summer

Planning a long weekend at the lake and bringing the whole family. Got a tent, cooler full of hot dogs and burgers, thinking about a fishing expedition. Never done this before so I'm probably over preparing. Any pro tips from you guys? My 6 year old is really excited which makes me want to get it right.

Lake camping is the perfect first trip. Kids remember those mornings waking up to the water. You're setting up some good memories there.

That sounds amazing. Nothing beats getting the kids outside and away from screens for a weekend. Fishing is the best way to keep them entertained without them asking for their devices.

Pro tip from doing this with three kids: bring way more hot dogs and burgers than you think you need. They eat way more when they're running around outside. Have a blast out there.
