First camping trip with the whole family and I was NOT prepared

Thought I was experienced because I went camping in college. Apparently camping with two kids under 10 is a completely different sport. We got there Friday evening and immediately realized I forgot the good sleeping bags, the kids got cold around 3 AM and ended up in our tent anyway which meant nobody slept. Saturday morning was rough but we pushed through, made some decent campfire food and the kids caught a bunch of tadpoles in the creek which made them happy. Sunday we packed up early but I gotta admit I'd do it again. Just need better planning next time and maybe Ambien.
