First time smoking a brisket, help needed

I've got a 12lb brisket I'm planning to smoke this Saturday for a family cookout and I'm nervous about messing it up. I've watched a bunch of YouTube videos but want some real advice from guys who've done this. Should I wrap it? How long should it actually take? Using a basic barrel smoker. Thanks in advance

12lb brisket is perfect size. The biggest thing is patience - don't rush it. I'd say plan for about 1.5 to 2 hours per pound at 225 degrees. Wrap it in foil when you hit the stall around 165 internal temp. Your family cookout is gonna be fire.
YouTube saved me on this exact thing last summer. Just make sure you're using good quality wood and keep your temp steady. The waiting is the hardest part honestly. Let me know how it turns out!
