Hiking to Eagle Rock with the kids

Looking for trail recommendations near Eagle Rock that won't destroy two kids aged 6 and 9. We've done easier stuff before but they're getting stronger. Want something with a payoff at the end like a view or a waterfall or something so they actually feel like we accomplished something. We usually do like 3-4 miles max before everyone gets tired. Thanks in advance.

Bear Creek Trail near Eagle Rock has some solid moderate hikes that don't murder you. Plenty of spots to stop and let the kids catch their breath. The views are killer too so they stay interested.

Pro tip: bring way more snacks than you think you need. A 6 and 9 year old can go from excited to complaining their legs hurt in about 30 seconds if they're hungry.

Rock Creek is good for that age range - not too steep and the water crossing halfway keeps the kids engaged. We've done it with our 5 and 8 year old and they loved it.
