Hiking with three kids is harder than I thought
Took the family on a 5 mile hike last Saturday at a state park nearby. Packed snacks, water, the whole thing. Youngest made it about 2 miles before complaining his legs hurt. Had to carry him the rest of the way while my oldest kept running ahead. By the end my back was toast but they all slept so good that night. Considering it a win even though I was dead tired.
Five miles with three kids is ambitious, man. I learned pretty quick with the twins that we do shorter loops now and call it a win. Maybe next time start with 2-3 miles and see how everyone handles it?
