Meal planning Sunday cooking sessions—game changer
Started doing this 3 weeks ago. Every Sunday afternoon we prep ingredients for the week together—my 10yo and 12yo chop veggies, measure grains, portion stuff into containers. They're learning kitchen skills, it cuts down my stress during the week, AND they're more likely to eat stuff they helped prep. Been thinking about this wrong the whole time. Why did nobody tell me cooking can be both efficient AND a bonding activity?
The real win here is probably that you're not scrambling on weeknights trying to figure out dinner. That alone would cut my stress in half.
