Ozark Trail 4-person tent - don't waste your money

Picked one up at Walmart for $50 thinking I'd save money. Took it camping last weekend and the floor tore in THREE PLACES just from normal use. Keyword "normal use" - I wasn't doing anything crazy, just two kids playing in it. Returned it immediately and grabbed the Coleman Dark Room instead (costs more but actually lasts). If you're looking for budget camping gear, skip this one.

The Ozark Trail tent is the definition of you get what you pay for. We had the same issue with that exact model - seams started leaking in light rain the second time out.

How many nights did you get out of it before stuff started going wrong? I'm trying to decide if I should just return it unopened.

I learned this the hard way with camping gear. Spend the extra hundred bucks on something that'll actually last more than two seasons. Your tent is basically your house out there.

The floor degradation is insane on those cheap ones. My brother's fell apart after one trip and Walmart wouldn't take it back because he'd used it. Save your money for REI or even Coleman.

Honestly good PSA. I almost grabbed one of these last month for a family camping trip. Glad I read this first.
