Pizza oven build went sideways

Spent all weekend trying to build a brick pizza oven in the backyard using a YouTube tutorial. First batch of bricks were the wrong size, second attempt the mortar wasn't setting right, and by Sunday I had a lopsided disaster. My kids were laughing at it but at least we tried. The good news is I can probably salvage it and go again next month. Anyone else ever just completely mess up a project but still consider it a win?

Been there. I tried to build a fire pit last year and let me tell you, watching YouTube videos and actually doing the thing are two different worlds. What specifically went sideways?

YouTube tutorials are deceptive because the guy always makes it look so easy. Did you at least salvage it or is the whole thing a loss?
