Pottery class was a disaster but somehow still worth it
Signed up for a Saturday morning pottery class for me and my 7yo. I expected us to make matching bowls or something Pinterest-worthy. Instead he made a blob, got clay in his hair, knocked over the teacher's coffee, and cried because his "was ugly." Then somehow we signed up for 6 more weeks. He's already talking about "the next project." Moral of the story: sometimes the messy moments are the ones that stick.
Saturday morning pottery class with a 7yo is an ambitious move and I respect it. Did you at least get him interested in going back or is that a one-time thing?
What was the biggest disaster part? The clay slipping everywhere, the kiln thing, or him just losing interest halfway through?
