Question: Best fishing spots near Seattle for kids?
Looking to take my kids (6 and 9) fishing somewhere actually accessible. We tried Lake Union last month and it was so crowded and honestly the vibe was weird. Want somewhere where they can actually catch something and not be around 500 other people.
Any good lakes or streams around the Seattle area that work for beginners? Don't care if the fish are tiny, just want them to actually catch something.
Lake Union crowds are brutal. Try the Sammamish River Trail ponds - my kids actually caught stuff there and felt like pros. Less intimidating than big lakes too
if you're willing to drive a bit further, the Snoqualmie River has some great kid-friendly sections. my 6 and 9yo caught trout there last summer. bring a net, makes it more fun for them even if they don't catch anything
what do you mean by the vibe being weird at Lake Union? just packed with tourists or something else? asking because we were thinking of going there soon
