Need to replace my 5yo's helmet. She crashed (she's fine!) and now hers is cracked. Want something that actually fits well and she'll actually wear. We have Woot helmets but they're bulky. What do you guys use?
Bell and Giro are my go-tos for the kids. Bell has held up great through multiple crashes and they're not crazy expensive. The fit is usually pretty solid too which matters more than people think.
Same situation here with my 6yo last month. Ended up going with a Specialized Align II because she liked the colors and actually wanted to wear it. Kind of defeats the purpose if they refuse to put it on right?
Definitely replace it. Even if it looks okay on the outside, if she hit her head hard enough to crack it then the foam inside is compromised. Not worth risking.
Pro tip: let her pick the design or color if possible. My son went from never wanting his helmet on to wearing it all the time once he got one with his favorite superhero on it.

How fast was she going when she crashed? Might also be worth checking if the bike itself needs any adjustments so it doesn't happen again.
