Got tired of the old lawnmower running like garbage so I pulled the carb apart and cleaned everything out proper. Spent like 6 hours on it with my nephew watching. Got all the jets cleaned, seals replaced, gasket looked good. Put it back together and it started first pull. Simple fix but felt good to actually solve the problem instead of just paying someone to do it.
This is peak dad weekend right here. Nothing beats fixing something that's been broken and actually getting it running again.
Carburetors are one of those things that seem impossible until you actually do it and then you realize it's just patience and some cleaner. Nice work getting that sorted.
There's something really satisfying about taking something apart and fixing it instead of just replacing it. My mower's been sitting in the garage doing the same thing. Maybe you inspired me to actually do something about it.
