That's pretty much the whole story. Watched a YouTube video, gathered my tools, turned off the water, and swapped it out in like 45 minutes. My wife was shocked it actually worked. Small wins.
Dude that's a huge win. I always get nervous about water stuff but when you turn off the main valve first it's honestly not that scary. High five.
Getting it done before the kids woke up is the real achievement here. Nothing beats that quiet morning alone time when you can actually focus.
