Science experiment fail: the volcano edition

Attempted a vinegar volcano with my twin 4yos yesterday. I underestimated... basically everything. The thing erupted way more dramatically than I expected, covering my son's hands, the table, and somehow the ceiling. He SCREAMED. I'm not sure if he was excited or traumatized honestly. We're not doing chemistry projects for a while I think.

Four year olds and baking soda vinegar volcanoes is just asking for chaos. I did the same thing and ended up with the mixture all over the kitchen. Took forever to clean up.

Pro tip for next time: do it outside and use way less vinegar than you think you need. Those kits always overflow.
