Smoke day with the family

Fired up the offset smoker at 5am for some brisket and ribs. Been smoking for about 8 hours now and the smell is unreal. Kids are playing in the yard while I babysit the fire and drink coffee. This is honestly my favorite way to spend a Saturday. Gonna be ready to eat around 4pm if the temp holds.

This is my kind of weekend mission. Kids love the whole experience too right? Mine go crazy for the smoky smells and watching the process. We usually do this at the lake house and make a whole day of it.
