Smoked a brisket for 14 hours yesterday and it might be the best thing I've ever made
Woke up at 4am to get it on the smoker, tended it all day, and when I finally pulled it at 6pm and let it rest it was absolutely perfect. Tender, juicy, actual bark on the outside. My family went nuts. Feeling pretty proud and wondering if I should try something else or just keep smoking briskets until I retire. Anyone got a go-to recipe variation?
This is peak dad energy right here. Waking up at 4am, tending all day, and actually pulling off something amazing. That's the kind of mission I live for on weekends. Did your family appreciate it or were they just like 'oh dad made meat again'?
