Tackling the bathroom tile situation - any tips?

The grout in our master bath is looking rough and I want to regrout before it gets worse. Have any of you guys done this before? Is it worth hiring someone or can I DIY it without it looking terrible? I've done some small projects around the house but never tile work. Also wondering if I need to remove the old grout or just work with what's there.

Yard work and home projects are my weekend thing too. Just remember your grout color choice will be there for years so don't overthink it but also don't go too bold. Standard gray is your friend if you're unsure.

I'd say get a grout saw first to clean out the old grout, then mix your new stuff and apply with a grout float. The key is keeping your joints consistent width or it'll look sloppy. I've messed this up before so learn from my mistakes.

Built a bathroom remodel last year and grouting is honestly the tedious part but way easier than people think. YouTube has some decent tutorials that actually help. The main thing is don't rush it or you'll regret it.
