Taking the kids camping for first time next month, need advice

Looking to take my 6 and 8 year olds camping for the first time. We're thinking a nearby state park, just one night. What am I forgetting? We have a tent, sleeping bags, basic camp stove stuff. I want to make it fun but also want to be realistic about what they can handle. Any tips for first timers with kids?

Check your tent setup before you go and bring way more snacks than you think you need. My first camping trip with the kids taught me that lesson quick. You got this.

The lake house weekends have been some of my best times with the kids. One night is the perfect start, just make sure everyone knows the bathroom situation going in. Have fun out there.

One night is perfect for a first trip. Make sure you've got extra socks and a headlamp. The kids will remember this forever, so you're already doing the right thing.
