Took my 4yo to cook pancakes and the kitchen is destroyed
I let him crack the eggs (mistake #1), pour milk (mistake #2), and he stepped in flour at some point. Floor is covered. There's eggshell in the batter. I'm pretty sure he ate more chocolate chips than made it into the pancakes. They turned out okay I guess? But I'm sitting here looking at this mess wondering if the 20 minutes of "bonding time" was worth the hour of cleanup. Genuinely asking - does this get easier, or should I just accept that cooking with kids = chaos?
Pro tip: do this outside next time lol. I learned that the hard way. Pancake batter + kitchen floor + toddler = nightmare. Back patio changes everything
