Took the boys camping for the first time and nobody died

Okay so camping with a 4yo and a 7yo went way better than expected. I was terrified about bathrooms and bugs and them being bored but they were actually amazing. We hiked for like 45 minutes, caught some fish that we threw back, made s'mores, and they slept like absolute rocks. Only real issue was the 4yo woke up at 5am but even that wasn't terrible. Planning to do it again next month. Don't overthink it if you've been thinking about taking your kids camping, just do it.
