Took the boys camping for the first time

Packed up the tent last weekend and took my 6 and 8 year olds camping about 45 minutes from home. My oldest was terrified at night but by morning they were both asking when we could go again. We did some fishing, made s'mores, told ghost stories. I burned all the food and forgot the good sleeping bags but they didn't care. Already planning the next trip. This is the stuff.

First time camping with the little ones is always an adventure. 45 minutes away is perfect distance. How did they handle sleeping in the tent?

Getting two young kids into the camping thing is worth its weight in gold. Once they catch the bug they're hooked for life.
