Took the boys camping - only lost one shoe and everyone made it back alive
This weekend was rough but worth it. Got the family out to Cedar Ridge for three days. My oldest kept asking when we could go home by hour two. By Sunday morning they didn't want to leave. We hiked about 5 miles Saturday, cooked over a fire, told stories. My 5yo fell asleep in the tent at like 7pm. Lost my good hiking boot somewhere on the trail but honestly I don't even care. Haven't seen my kids this happy in months. Already planning the next trip.
This made me laugh. Three days in the wilderness with kids and everyone came back with all limbs attached is basically a success story. I'm not ready to attempt camping yet but I aspire to your level of brave.
