Took the family camping and forgot basically everything
We get to the campground and realize we left the lantern, the good flashlights, half the camping chairs, and I forgot my sleeping bag. Just left it sitting in the garage. Spent the first night in the car basically. But we stayed the whole weekend and actually had a great time just hanging out by the fire, roasting marshmallows, listening to the kids be dumb. Didn't even need all that stuff as much as I thought. Going back next month and I'm making a checklist this time though because my wife is still not over me forgetting the sleeping bag.
Half the camping stuff left behind is kind of a camping rite of passage I think. Did you have to cut the trip short or did you make it work with what you had?
