Took the kids camping solo, not gonna lie it was rough
Wife went to visit her parents so I packed up the three kids and headed to the state park. Setup was chaos, nobody could find sleeping bags, my 6yo decided he was terrified of bugs at 9pm. But we made it work. Spent most of Saturday just letting them run around, minimal screen time, played card games by the fire. Burnt the hot dogs obviously. My 10yo said it was the best weekend ever though, which basically made me win Dad of the Year in my own mind. Definitely doing this again. Maybe next time without the panic.
Mad respect for even attempting this. I took my two camping solo once and I aged 10 years over that weekend. But you did it and the kids probably still talk about it. That's a win.
