Tried meal prepping activities for rainy days and it actually worked
So our area got pounded with rain for two weeks straight last month and I was going insane with the kids bouncing off walls. I prepped little "activity boxes" with stuff like: pipe cleaners + beads, construction paper + markers + stickers, kinetic sand, old boxes + tape for fort building, even a "science experiment" box with baking soda, vinegar, food coloring, plastic cups. Honestly? Having them choose an activity instead of me suggesting stuff made a huge difference. They felt more invested. Might do this again before winter hits.
Stealing this idea immediately. Our rainy season is coming up and I'm already dreading the complaints about being bored.
Did you involve the kids in the prepping part or just the activity part? My 7yo actually enjoys helping when there's a project involved.
