Trying to build a deck, am I crazy?

Want to add a deck to the back of the house. Our budget is limited so I'm thinking about building it myself instead of hiring someone. I've done small projects before but never anything this big. How hard is it really? Am I about to waste a bunch of money on supplies and have a disaster?
