Trying to smoke a brisket for the first time

Picked up a cheap offset smoker from Facebook Marketplace and spent all day cleaning it. Planning to do a 12 hour cook starting at 5am Saturday. I've watched like 10 different videos and I'm still not confident I won't burn it. Anyone got a foolproof brisket recipe they swear by? Also should I wrap it or nah?

That's a fun project. My advice is don't expect perfection the first time but the effort alone will make it taste better to your family. What size brisket are we talking?

First brisket on a new smoker is ambitious but I respect it. Just go low and slow, don't fiddle with it too much. What time are you planning to start?

Facebook Marketplace smoker is the way to go. I scored my grill the same way and cleaned it up good as new. You're gonna love the taste once you get it right.
