6 months into remote work and it's been a game changer
I can eat lunch with my kids, help with homework during my break, and be home when they get off the bus. Yeah I still work 8 hours but at least I'm in the same building. The transition was rough with distractions but now my boss trusts me and my mental health is way better. If anyone is considering asking for remote work, do it.
Remote work saved my sanity. I can actually be there for lunch, help with homework, and still get my work done. The flexibility is something I never had in the office and honestly I'd take a pay cut to keep this setup.
