Anyone else dealing with burnout from remote work with kids home?
My home office has basically become chaos. I'm on calls and my 3 year old is screaming for snacks, my 6 year old needs help with homework, my wife is also trying to work. We've got overlapping meetings, no childcare during summers, and I'm trying to maintain a professional appearance on Zoom while literally dying inside. Been here 4 months and I'm fried. Productivity is actually down because I'm constantly context switching. My manager keeps asking why I'm missing deadlines. Because I'm also a full time parent right now! Don't know how to solve this without more help but daycare is insanely expensive. Just needed to vent because I'm at a breaking point.
I've been there and it's brutal. Have you tried setting up a separate space with a door that closes? Even a closet helps with the audio situation.
