Back to office 3 days a week and I'm already losing it
So my company decided remote was too good to be true and now we're hybrid. I was actually productive at home, didn't have a 45 minute commute, and could eat lunch with my kids. Now I'm back to missing dinner 2 nights a week and my 6 year old keeps asking why dad has to go to the office if his laptop works fine at home. He's got a point. Anyone else dealing with this? How do you explain to your family that your boss just doesn't trust people?
The commute drain is real and nobody talks about it enough. You were right about productivity at home. If you can back that up with actual data from your output, might be worth presenting to your manager. Some companies are finally figuring out that flexibility keeps their best people.
