Burned out and can't see the finish line
I'm working 50+ hours a week, trying to be present for three kids, and I feel like I'm failing at both. My boss keeps loading me with stuff, I can't say no without looking like I'm not a team player. My wife is frustrated because I'm checked out when I'm home. I know everyone is dealing with this but man it's hard right now. Wondering if I need to make a change or just push through.
I feel this in my bones. Working those hours with three kids is unsustainable. Something has to shift - whether it's work, schedule, or expectations. You can't pour from an empty cup and right now your cup is bone dry.
Talk to your boss about your workload instead of just accepting it. Seriously. Most companies don't even realize their people are drowning until someone speaks up. You're not failing, the situation is impossible.
