Can we talk about remote work and actually being present for the kids
I've been working from home for 2 years now and honestly it's a double edged sword. On one hand I can eat lunch with my kids and be here if something happens at school. On the other hand my boss expects me to be available 24/7 and the kids think I'm just in the other room so they're always interrupting. Just had my 4 year old crash my important client call. Trying to set boundaries but feels impossible. Anyone figured out a good system for this?
Man, I hear you on that balance thing. I make sure lunch with the kids is a real break from work, no phone, no distractions. That quality time helps offset the blur between work and dad mode.
