Career advancement vs being present for my kids

Got offered a big promotion that would mean more travel and longer hours. On paper it's everything I've been working towards for 5 years. But my oldest is going to be in school full time soon and I know these years matter. My wife says it's my decision but I can feel the weight of it either way. Part of me thinks I'm being dumb passing this up but another part knows I can't get these years back. Anyone been through something similar?
