Career advancement vs being there for the kids

Got offered a promotion that would mean traveling 40% of the time. More money, better title, the thing I've been working toward. But my kids are 6 and 8 and I'm finally at a place where I'm coaching my oldest's soccer team and having dinner with them most nights. Anyone been in this spot? Is there a way to keep climbing without sacrificing everything? Or am I being naive?
